Manchester City is one of those teams who, when you look at them, you wonder how did someone put so many quality players onto one roster. Yet here we are, and this Manchester City team has been extraordinary this season.
The only reason why they’re not on top of the standings is the fact that a certain LFC has been better. Now they face a team that has probably had the most disappointing season in English Football to date.
Arsenal enters this contest sitting at the 5th spot which is a bit surprising considering how badly they played. Injuries as always were a problem but most of their problems stem from a very poorly constructed team. A bad defence, a bad midfield, a solid attack but nobody to feed them the ball.
Manchester City enters this game after a very successful stretch of games so their motivation will be to continue it. They should be well prepared and ready to win against an inferior team because they can’t slow down if they want to catch Liverpool Football Club.
As for Arsenal, considering their current form, it’s really hard to see how they could get anything out of this match. Midweek they played against Man United and lost convincingly 3-1 because their defence didn’t rose up to the occasion. They will have an even tougher job this time around since Man City boasts the most potent attack in the Premier League.
It should be noted that Arsenal usually finds a way to compete against the best teams in recent years, but it has to be said that that was under another manager and under different circumstances. Emery doesn’t have the same effect and this will be a one-way street. City will have to take this one easily.
