Can Milan challenge the Partenopei?
AC Milan will host Napoli in a match that has quite a few interesting storylines. Milan played much better these past few weeks especially in their midfield and going forward which has been their biggest problem this season. On the other side, they welcome a Napoli side who has been dominant going forward all season long.
This will be an interesting match as neither team has proven to be stellar defending the goal. Milan has conceded 20 goals so far and their opponents have 18. This might bode well for neutral watchers as goals are expected.
In last weeks match, Milan struggled in the first half against a good Genoa side but managed to score two easy goals after tiding up their build-up play. On the other hand, Napoli dominated a lacklustre Lazio side winning 2-1 but their showing was far more impressive than the result might suggest.
If Napoli arrives in Milan with the same determination and form it’s gonna be hard to see how the home team can work out a positive result for them despite improved play lately. It will also be a homecoming of sorts for former Milan boss Ancelotti who knows the ins and outs of his former team. He certainly will be very valuable in preparing this match as his tactical prowess far outweighs that of Genaro Gattuso.
Considering all the facts before this match there is really no doubt that Napoli is the favourites to win this match probably in a very convincing fashion. Milan has improved their play lately but their team lacks the quality to challenge Napoli who has the better team, have played better this year and have the better manager.
